I tried every freaking AI setup for worldbuilding and book-writing

Most of them sucked, so here are the two best ones I found for building worlds, developing characters and locations, writing stories, and more.

I think it’s official; I have now spent more time testing AI models than actually writing. Was it worth it? Absolutely! The time those setups save me is absolutely precious. And the best of all? Both setups can work offline, are privacy-focused, easy to set up, and ideal for worldbuilding, outlining, and editing a book or a novel.

The problems

I didn’t want an AI model to write articles or books for me; that would ruin the whole thing, like watching another person do my hobby for me. But with so limited time, I was in need of an assistant, an editor, a researcher, and an analyst — people to help me by finishing all those tasks that were taking so much of my time.

Since hiring all those people would require a budget I can’t even dream of right now, I’ve put all the knowledge and skills I had to find a good AI setup that I could use as my writing assistant. I’ve also wanted to go further from just worldbuilding and books…
